-These Antique Balloon Back Chairs are a delight and each chair seat has individually designed tapestry coverings.
-Tapestry being a textile art typical of the era, and possibly would have been hand stitched.
-This set of four beautiful Victorian Mahogany Ballon back chairs, have a small relief detail to the mid rail, together, with pleasing slender baluster ribbed legs at the front and splay at the back.
-All four have their original well sprung original seat with strapping.
-As with all pieces of this age there are of course, a few age related "character marks" and on close inspection you will find small old indentations, scuffs and light scratches.
-Together with years of historic use, it will also have those age related 'loved character marks'. We deliberately choose to leave these as is, so as to keep integrity, singularity and complexion.
