TERMS AND CONDITIONS - WORKSHOPS
Please read our Terms & Conditions very carefully when you are considering booking onto a workshop with us. As a small family business, we pride ourselves on our customer service, so please give us a call if you have any queries or questions about any of our workshops.
- BOOKING ONTO A WORKSHOPS
Simply book on-line or if you prefer, contact us by telephone or email.
Our workshops usually run with a minimum of 4 people, and a maximum of 8. This can vary sometimes, depending on how much space we need to run the workshop comfortably and safely.
We need fully cleared payment for confirmation onto your workshop and prior to you attending to one of our workshops.
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure a Tutor's services and workshop space
You can pay via our website - bookable on-line.
You can pop into the Boutique and pay by card or cash.
You can pay by BACs payment - please ask for details.
- ATTENDING THE WORKSHOP
Due to nature of the workshops that we offer here at Lovingly Made, and the planning involved, if you unfortunately find yourself unable to attend your workshop, then any monies/costs paid are non-refundable. Please, do check your diary carefully before booking a workshop with us.
Any specifically/individually organised class/tailor made for you individually, monies paid, including deposits are non-refundable, due to the organisation and payment to our Tutor involved. Please, do check your diary carefully before booking a workshop with us.
If you find you are unable to attend one of our workshops, you may of course send someone in your place. It would lovely to know the person's name before they come along: so we may welcome them.
The following terms DO NOT apply to a workshop that is specifically/individually organised class/tailor made to a specific requirement.
We will always do our best to re-sell your booked workshop, by putting it back up on our website. This is not, however a guarantee it will sell, but if it does, we will issue you a voucher by email a few days after the session runs. You may use this voucher toward booking another workshop of your choice - within 6 months of the voucher issue date. However, do bear in mind, this is not a guarantee.
We require that you fill out a basic information sheet, for our Insurance purposes, your name, mobile telephone number, email and emergency details.
- CAN I SEND A FRIEND INSTEAD OF ME?
You can always send a friend in your place - just let us know of the name change please, otherwise the normal non-refundable terms apply.
- CAN I TRANSFER MY BOOKING?
We can only transfer you onto another workshop if you kindly give us at least 14 working days advance notice - this is of course, space permitting and subject to a £5.00 administration fee. New course dates must be chosen within 6 months of first cancellation.
- IF WE CANCEL A WORKSHOP?
We reserve the right to make any necessary alterations to class or workshop fees, and dates, at any time, after going to print or publishing dates on the website. If we unfortunately have to cancel a workshop here at Lovingly Made, we will of course offer you a full refund.
We endeavour to let you know as soon as possible should a Tutor be unavailable or if there is a problem here at Lovingly Made, (we cannot control Electricity Power Cuts!) We would encourage you to attend an alternative class instead, space permitting.
- WHAT MATERIALS DO I BRING?
In the main, most of the materials you will need will be provided, unless otherwise stated in the details. Read carefully before you book, just to make sure you have the necessary equipment should you need it.
We don't sell products of supplies directly. Meanwhile, should you forget something you might need for your class or workshop, then we can usually lend you the odd pair of scissors, but other items may need to be charged for. Please do look carefully at the workshop requirements.
- WHERE IS THE WORKSHOP LOCATED?
You will find our beautiful Workshop at Lovingly Made, Workshop at The Homestead, off Copthorne Road, Felbridge, West Sussex, RH19 2QQ.
Our "Contact Us" page will give you a 'Google' map for guidance.
- DO YOU SELL GIFT VOUCHERS?
Thank you for asking! We do! They are valid for 6 months only from the date of issue and may be used to book a workshop.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable and not transferable for cash at any time.
- ORGANISING A WORKSHOP SPECIFICALLY FOR ME
We can organise a Workshop, that includes "bespoke/tailor made" sessions or as you say, something, just for you! Do let us know if there is something particular you may like to see on the class timetable and we will see if we can help organise it for you.Please be aware of the specific terms appertaining to any specifically/individually organised class/tailor made for you individually; monies paid will not be refundable, due to the organisation and payment to our Tutor involved.
- HEALTH & SAFETY
We have full Public Liability Insurance with The NFU. We take the issue of Health and Safety seriously and hope that you do too. You are asked to act in a sensible and appropriate way here at Lovingly Made - thank you.
Health & Safety in our Workshop is of paramount importance to us and we take our Health & Safety Policy seriously. You will be advised by your tutor for each class, the H&S policy in your class. Each class may have different specific areas of H&S. Please do take the time to listen to your tutor at the beginning of your class. Please note that our workshops can mean that you will be using potentially dangerours equipment and materials and it is your responsibility under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, to act responsibly. Please do ask if you have any questions.
We would like you to advise us of any allergies - as we provide biscuits and cake, but we cannot be responsible for any protection from allergies to food and other materials. Please make an informed decision of any allergies, illnesses or dietary needs.
We would appreciate that you arrive on time for your workshop and behave in a sensible and appropriate manner towards others and our Tutors. We will not tolerate any abuse of any kind at Lovingly Made.
- CAN I BRING MY CAMERA?
By all means, but we would like you to appreciate that you use your own images for your own purposes and that any photographs we take, can be used on our website for publicity and handouts.
- AGE FOR WORKSHOPS
Please would you kindly note that unless we have stated otherwise in our details, that all our Workshops are for adults aged 18 or over.
WE DO NOT have facilities for babies or small children and they are not included in our Insurance policy in our Workshop. Please contact us before booking for further advise - thank you for your understanding our policy regarding this.
Private parties, will have their own individual conditions and policies regarding age responsibility and need to be discussed and confirmed before booking.
- TIMING ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
ALL DAY WORKSHOP - Workshops start at 10.00 am promptly unless otherwise stated. We ask you that you arrive at 09.45 am to 'sign-in' with us in The Boutique and wait for your tutor to collect you and escort you to The Workshop - there will be a 15 minute break both in the morning and in the afternoon with delicious tea or coffee and homemade cake and/or biscuits! Please do make us aware of any nut/food allergies.
Being an all day workshop, you may wish to bring a packed lunch with you which can be stored in our refrigerator.
Workshops finish at 4.30. pm - if we can! It is not always easy to finish right on time as we don't rush you out of the door! But we do need to be aware that our Tutors do need to clear and clean ready for the next day's activities - your help is much appreciated.
AM WORKSHOP - Workshops start at 10.00 pm promptly unless otherwise stated. We ask you that you arrive at 09.45 am to 'sign-in' with us in The Boutique and wait for your tutor to collect you and escort you to The Workshop. There will be a 15 minute break with delicious tea or coffee and homemade cake and/or biscuits! Please do make us aware of any nut/food allergies.
Workshops finish at 1.00 pm - if we can! It is not always easy to finish right on time as we don't rush you out of the door! But we do need to be aware that our Workshop maybe being used for another class, so we do need time to clear up and clean too.
PM WORKSHOPS - Workshops in the afternoon start at either 1.00/1.30/2.00 pm promptly unless otherwise stated We ask that you arrive at 15 minutes earlier than starting to 'sign-in' with us in The Boutique and wait for your tutor to collect you and escort you to The Workshop. There will be a 15 minute break with delicious tea or coffee and homemade cake and/or biscuits! Please do make us aware of any nut/food allergies.
Workshops finish between 4.00/4.30pm - if we can! It is not always easy to finish right on time as we don't rush you out of the door! But we do need to clear up and clean and our Tutors might have other commitments and need to go home!
EVENING WORKSHOPS - Workshops start at 6.00/6.30/7.00pm promptly unless otherwise stated. We ask that you arrive Lovingly Made at 15 minutes prior to your class and you will need to 'sign-in' at The Vintage Boutique. Evening workshops usually run for approximately 2 1/2 hours - including a 15 minute break for hot chocolate and a lovely cookie!
Again, we endeavour to finish at 8.30/9.00/9.30pm promptly to allow our Tutors to clear up and clean the room, ready for the following day. Your understanding in the finishing time for an evening workshop is much appreciated.
Please do think about bringing in an apron or an old shirt!
Please note that by "booking" a workshop, you agree to the Terms & Conditions as set above.
